Dave's Killer Bread~ Does it Live Up to It's Name?

About the Company Dave Dahl is an ex-con who spent 15 years in prison before he co-founded Dave’s Killer Bread® with his brother Glenn. Their dad James was a pioneer in the organic and sprouted bread industry and their inspiration. Dave and Glenn set out to make a loaf unlike any other--the most nutritious, organic, whole grain bread. What started out as a local Portland, Oregon farmers’ market favorite has become America’s #1 organic sliced bread in just under 10 years. The company proclaims “everyone is capable of greatness and a second chance can lead to positive lasting change”. To reinforce this commitment, one-third of company employees hired have a criminal background.

Karen's Review Self-proclaimed as the Best Bread in the Universe, in my opinion; this bread actually lives up to its claim! With a name like Dave’s Killer Bread, it’s got to be good, right? And, it’s good for you too. These are simply the best bagged bread products I’ve ever tasted, period. The white bread offers more whole grains than any other organic white bread and its unique combination of quinoa, spelt, rye, millet and barley creates a texture similar to my own homemade, freshly baked oatmeal bread. Impressive! Try it toasted. The Powerseed® bread contains 20g whole grains and no high fructose corn syrup. It uses only fruit juice to add a hint of sweetness instead (1g sugar per slice). The 21 Whole Grains and Seeds packs in 22g of whole grains per slice toward the 48g or more whole grains that are recommended per day. This is just a snapshot to spark your interest. I’ll be watching this company closely, expecting more great things to come.
